Dennis Alan McDaniels (April 30, 1940 - August 20, 2021)

Dennis McDaniels of Glen Burnie, passed away at Bridging Life Hospice.  He was born in Elyria, Ohio to the late Clifford Louid & DeLaurice Edna McDaniels.  He honorably served ihis country in the Air Force from 1962-1965.  He went on to work for the federal government, retiring in 1996 after 30 years of dedicated service.  An avid volleyball player, he traveled the country to regional and national tournaments to participate in Senior Olympic competitions.  He also enjoyed genealogy, playing bridge and ping pong, attending drum and bugle corps exhibitions, watching his grandchildrens' sporting events, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his devoted children, Debbie Di Leo and her husband Tony; Mark McDaniels and his wife, Anna; and Becky Barton.  Cherished grandchildren: Justin, Emily, Zac, Sephanie, Rachel, Maddy and Todd: and loving brother, Ron McDaniels and his wife, Agnes.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral  & Cremation Services, 1 2nd Ave., SW (at Crain Hwy) in Glen Burnie, on Tuesday, Aug. 24th from 5-8PM.  A celebration of Life service will be held on Wed. 10 AM in the funeral home chapel, with a viewing prior from 9-10AM.  Interment to follow at Chathedral Gardens Cemetery in Elkridge.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to National Sr. Games Association by visiting https://nsga.com/volleyball
