
LORAIN — Sandra Ann Rosso (nee Brennan), 69, of Lorain died Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Community Health Partners, Lorain, after a lengthy illness.
Born November 22, 1940 in Amherst, she was a 46 year Lorain resident moving from Elyria.
Mrs. Rosso retired as a manager of the Giant Eagle Grocery Store in Amherst. She had also worked as a bookkeeper for M&J Uniforms, and Louis Cohns, in the Sheffield Center.
Sandra attended beauty school and was a member of Mary Mother of God Parish, Lorain, where she was a member of the Women’s Guild and helped with the food pantry. She was a member of the Lorain Harbor Lions Club and had belonged to the IAV Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, reading, crossword puzzles and painting.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, David Rosso; a daughter, Jacqueline (Glen) Browning of Lorain; a son, Michael (Christina) Bado of Chillicothe; 2 granddaughters, Melanie and Michele Bado and a sister, Patricia (James) McKinney of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Brennan and Kathleen (nee Rainey) Santoni; and brothers, Terry “Jay” Johnson and Timothy Johnson.
Friends may call Friday, July 30, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio.
Prayers will be said at the funeral home Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 9:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Mary Mother of God Parish, 310 W. 8th Street, Lorain. Father Daniel O. Divis, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
