
Carolyn Grace Telenko
Carolyn Grace Telenko, 69, died suddenly at her home in Wellington, Friday, January 15, 2010. She was born September 20, 1940 in Elyria.
She graduated from Elyria High in 1958 and served as treasurer of the ‘58 reunion committee, where she attended all reunions. She worked as an Avon Lady for 32 years, serving customers in Southern Lorain County.
Carolyn was a member of the Wellington Eagles Auxiliary No. 2051, raising funds for activities. Carolyn enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, knitting, where she donated 76 hats to the Chronicle Telegram “Not Forgotten Box”.
She is survived by sons, Timothy Deshuk of Lorain, Douglas Deshuk of Dublin, Ohio; daughter, Cynthia Pritt of Wellington; seven grandchildren; brothers, Gary O’Connor of Scottsdale, Arizona and David O’Connor of Elyria; and sister, Molly Kelly of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph E and Alma A. Ackerman O'Connor, and her first husband Kenneth Deshuk and son Donald Deshuk.
Memorial service is 12:00 PM, Thursday February 4, 2010 at Cowling Funeral Home, Inc. in Oberlin, Oh. Clergy Pastor Brian Kenyon of Calvary Baptist Church. Internment at Camden Cemetery. The memorial service is entrusted to Carolyn's 3 children with the Cowling Funeral Home of Oberlin.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Elyria Schools & Friends Alumni Association P.O. Box 63, Elyria, Ohio 44036 where Carolyn served on the board. Cowling Funeral home is handling local arrangements.
