Condolences to Dick and the family. I have so many memories of 'Foxy'. I always new where to find Linda on Saturday afternoons; either at Foxy's or Holly's. Loved her great sense of humor and witty remarks. She was a great friend.
Just received an email from Dick and he said Barb suffered a subdural hemorrhage in November of last year and was in recovery ever since but died suddenly and peacefully on 5/17. Barb had three daughters from a previous marriage, Elizabeth, Kristen, Kerry and three grandchildren. Dick said they both enjoyed playing golf, tennis, bridge, gardening and most recently their move to Naples Florida. They took several trips to Europe and were in Alaska on 9/11, stranded for three days.
Dick said she had more friends than anyone he knew both in VA and FL, as well as long time college friends and will be missed by many people.
But then, we already knew that because of our fond memories of her! We'll miss you, Barb!!!
I didn't know Barbara well, I knew her parents much better. I used to caddy for them at Elyria Country Club. I was an admirer of both of them. I only had few contacts with Barbara at school. However, in those contacts she was a perfect reflection of her parents. Her father was a gentleman and her mother was very gracious. Thats the way I remember Barbara, as being gracious and kind. Its sad to see people die, but its even more sad to hear that someone died who had something in common with you, and you shared the same moments at school. My condolences to Dick. I am currently in Europe and don't read my mail daily this is why I'm late with this. Andy
Sorry to hear about Barb. Can't forget all the good times we shared while growing up. We will always remember the class reunion when you were just divorced and Barb was alone. You made all the moves you could and Barb just kept saying "cool off ". A short time later we heard that you got married, so I guess those were the right moves. In any case ,our condolances to you and your extended family.
