Carol Jean Wingard

Carol Jean Wingard, 80, of North Ridgeville, passed away Sunday, March 29th, 2020 due to severe complications from the Covid-19 Virus. She was born in St. Mary's, Pennsylvania March 7th, 1940.
She retired as the Supervisor of Capitol Projects for Alltel in Hudson. She graduated from Elyria High School class of 1958. Carol Wingard was a kind, self-sacrificing, giving soul. The amount of love she provided not just to her family but to those around her was immeasurable. Whether it be the food on her table, clothing or just some words needed to get you by. She was the foundation to the family. She made everything feel like it was alright no matter what was going on. She was the anchor that stabilized the entire ship. No matter who you were or your background she accepted everyone. All those around her were her family and she had herself a large family as eclectic as her fashion. She enjoyed the simple things. Cooking for whomever would allow her too, reading hundreds upon 100's of books or sewing something to add to her closet. Even in the worst of times she saw the best of the situation and if she could take that and help she would grab on and run with it. She lived a long, fulfilled life with her husband whom shared so much love you could feel it in the air. Their relationship was magnetic and gave breathe to the family they built to do the same for each other. She may be gone, but she will always be with us in our hearts and in our souls, Watching over us from the empty spaces within our homes. With all of our love, thank you.
She is survived by husband, James R. Wingard; daughter, Tammara L. Garcher; grandchildren, Tiffany Ketcham (Kevin), Kevin Fowler (Kasey), Ryan Fowler-Wingard, Nicholas Fowler (Brittany), James Fowler and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Margaret Imhof and brother, Clarence "Butzie" Imhof.
