Carol was a member of Community United Methodist Church in Elyria. She cherished spending time with her family, and enjoyed photography and drawing.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Wilbert C.; daughters, Peggy Brown (Richard) of Elyria, Nancy Rowe (Pastor Kermit) of Springfield, Kathleen Goodson (Matt) of Sheffield; sons, Mark Metz (Jackie) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Michael Metz (Sueanne) of Glenview, Illinois; additional survivors include eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; sisters, Christine Deichler of Elyria, Lillian Swartz (Harry)of Lorain, Angeline Campbell (Robert) of Virginia; brothers, William Petroff (Malta) of Tennessee, Nicholas Peterson of Oberlin.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Mildred (nee Wukovich) Petroff; and brothers, Daniel and Paul Petroff.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 P.M., Monday, August 5, 2013 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria, (440) 322-4626. Funeral services will be 11 A.M., Tuesday, August 6, 2013 in the Mausoleum at Resthaven Memory Gardens, 3700 Center Rd., Avon, where Pastor Kermit Rowe and Pastor Don Lare will officiate (please meet at the cemetery). Entombment will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
