Sally Schowalter (Sara Walters), 68, of Chicago, passed away suddenly Friday, July 18, 2008, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chicago.

She was the beloved daughter of late Arthur and Alice Schowalter (Alice Weston), Elyria; dearest sister of Susan B. Ruffing Elyria; cherished aunt of Sara and Dan Ball Cape Coral, Fla.; and Rodney and Rosemary Ruffing, Columbus; treasured great-aunt of Robert Moore and Danielle Ball, Columbus; and a precious friend to many.

Sally was a 1958 graduate of Elyria High School. She earned a bachelor’s of arts degree at Elmhurst College, Elmhurst, Ill., and her master’s degree at Central Michigan University.
